A multicache is a type of geocache.

Description[]

"A multi-cache ('multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache."[1]

A multicache is a variation on a traditional cache. When completing a multicache, the cacher searches for individual "stages". Each stage consists of a separate geocache that contains information, usually in the form of coordinates, that lead to the next stage. Eventually, the cacher will reach the final stage where they would sign the logbook and claim a find. The number of stages involved is up to the discretion of the cache owner.
